Hello!

Hi, I haven't posted in the longest time. The summer flew by and even though I wasn't taken classes this blog got lost in my summer life as well. I've been working just about every day so when I have a day off I like to spent it doing something with my boyfriend, friends or family. I'll get around to making a post with some photos from vacations I took this summer and fun little outings but for now I just wanted to share a little something with you all that I can't wait for!

The NARS Andy Warhol Collection!

The collection will be carried at Sephora and Department Stores, apparently each having their own items!

Birchbox

The semester if finally over and I'm hoping to start posting more regularly again. I couple of months ago I requested to join a monthly beauty box subscription called Birchbox. Birchbox sends you a collection of about 4-5 samples of beauty products, the products are chosen for you from a beauty profile you fill out. After spending a little while on the wait list, I received my invite and got sent an April box. Here's what I got my first month!

I'm a little late posting this considering my May box has shipped and is already almost here (which I am so excited about because of it being Gossip Girl themed) but I wanted to share my first box.

Things

Needing a serious pick me up this week;

new vans, birchbox shipped, best friend catchups, support from my mom, jeans and a tanktop for twenty dollars, mint shorts, cool beautiful weather, possibly swimming with manatees, almost done with the semester,  iced coffee, baby carrots, ulta sales, actually enjoying bio class, pintrest, making new girlfriends, ice cream, having someone who loves both my good and bad sides, home cooked meals, drinking more water, food network, fresh veggies, etc.

I apologize for the lack of posts, the end of this semester has been swamping me, can't wait for it to be over, along with other things.

A sugary review

So, when I found out about Duncan Hines new Frosting Creations Flavor Mixes I had to check them out. When I discovered they had a Cotton Candy flavor I just about lost it and drooled all over my keyboard. Cotton Candy could be one of my main food groups. No exaggerations. I eat it all the time, every time I go somewhere that has it, have a Cotton Candy maker and even buy ten bags of the store bought kind every time I catch it included in Kroger's ten for ten sale.

It's safe to say I'm obsessed.

Duncan Hines even provides two recipes on their website. A Cotton Candy Cake Pop and Cotton Candy Cupcakes. Both of which look absolutely delicious.

I decided that I would try out making a Cotton Candy cupcake. I didn't get fancy at all with my cupcakes, just wanted to try out this new icing for taste.

I used a plain white cake mix, the Cotton Candy flavor pack and the starter icing. Overall, I am happy with them. The taste is really sweet and the Cotton Candy flavor does come through. I am thinking I am going to try using two flavor packages next time around to add more Cotton Candy flavor. I wish I hadn't eaten all my Cotton Candy so I could have added a little decoration but oh well.

I recommend you try out these new flavor packets and see what you can come up with!

Impulse Internet

I always seem to get sucked into impulse shopping, especially on the internet. Today I got sucked into buying two items off the internet but both of which are things I really enjoy and I don't see myself regretting my decision to purchase.

I've had the same old, now a little dingy black purse for so long and have been on the market for a new one for quite some time. I came across a cute colorful bag on FredFlare (bag on the left) and was about to add it to my "shopping cart" when I thought, hmm it's not exactly what I want.

So I searched a little bit around all while keeping that bag in mind since I did really like it, just wanted a little more. I thought to myself, I love the pattern and the style just see myself with a little different color scheme. Low and behold, I searched the internet and found what appears to be the same exact bag, in a different color scheme! (bag on the right) And ten dollars cheaper. The bag is from Zuimiez, a place I never thought I'd find a bag that I liked but I am not one to care where things come from. If I like it, then I like it. Although, I do feel myself getting a little greedy and I now want both bags as I do love the other one as well, but I do not need two bags so similar.

My second impulsive purchase today was something I didn't see myself buying anytime soon. I got a phone call from my mom and she started telling me all about a company that she thought was really cool. The company she was talking about is called "The Invisible Project" A company that sells Polaroid cameras and Polaroid film. Even though I have heard of this company I let my sweet mom describe it to me and decided to check it out again.

I came across this awesome film where the traditional white frame comes in various colors, it was new to me but my mom assured me they had film like it when Polaroid was first around.

My mom convinced me I'd be sad if it sold out and I didn't end up getting some so I just ended up buying a pack. I am really excited but plan on making like eight photos last and thinking about a picture before I take it. This film is limited edition and ended up costing thirty dollars. I hope I end up with some great pictures.

I've found a new favorite!

I have been really into attempting to cook lately, key word attempting but anyway I love pintrest to keep track of recipes I want to try. Today, I was sifting though a few blogs, pinning, and found a new favorite food blog. Prepare for a lengthy picture post.
