Hello 2012

So far my new year has been spent doing some new things and some old.

My boyfriend and I made homemade doughnuts for the first time. At first I was skeptical being the doughnut connoisseur that I am but I gave them a try anyway. Surprisingly they passed my taste test.

I've been trying to cook meals more often and today I took a swing at making an omelette. It's not burnt, I swear just a little butter cooked on to the outside. On the inside is a delicious mix of broccoli and cheese. I made my boyfriend one with cheese and salsa, although his went un-pictured due to my lack of omelette flipping skills first go round.

Who needs Starbucks when you have a Keurig coffee maker and whipped cream!? Although I was a little sad when I realized we had no straws, could have used Starbucks for their straws.
